Both of my parents were part of the first wave of computer professionals that utilized IBM’s midrange line of systems. Big Blue was in my blood from an early age. My first memories involved tagging along with my father on Saturdays as he worked among a room-sized web of computing devices. My obvious fascination with his role led to my first job. While most high school students were flipping burgers, I was loading manufacturing data into a MAPICS database on an IBM System/38. Watching the fruits of my labor seamlessly drive the flow of refrigeration coils through shop floor work centers fascinated me. I knew that the trajectory of my career would entail leveraging technology to optimize industrial processes.
Since then, the approach to maximizing stakeholder value has evolved exponentially. I still enjoy creating robust, custom systems. However, my focus is on helping manufacturers minimize their reliance on in-house application development. Whether this involves migrating to an ERP or fully integrated best of breed solutions, I utilize my solid business acumen coupled with my technical expertise to formulate the best solution for each customer.
